Restoration tips for the RARE Cadillac Sabre wheel

Quite possible the most desired accessory item for 1955-1958 Cadillac Eldorados is the "Sabre" wheel. Offered in either silver or gold anodizing, these wheel were constructed with an aluminum center. This new (at the time) and unique construction is also a big reason why the wheels are so sought after because that aluminum center didn't hold up well over the years leading many sets to be sscraapped and replaced with more traditionally-constructed wheels.

However, when classic Cadillacs of this era became more collectible, the desire for a set of Cadillac Sabre wheels increased. Finding and buying a pair of these wheels in rough condition will set you back a pretty penny. The restoration will likely cost more. However, when completed, they will add to the authenticity of your Eldorado as well as the value.

Cadillac Parts & Restoration (CPR) has not only restored many sets of Sabres, but put them on their restored Cadillacs that have won major national awards from the A.A.C.A. and Cadillac & LaSalle Club. Learn more about their Cadillac Sabre wheel restoration services and other offerings.
